6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this project?
Blogger was unreliable to use. On more than one occasion it crashed before I could save my work or didn’t save it correctly. Sometimes it would delete images I added to it as well. The layout of it is complicated and needlessly awkward. It’s format was difficult to use, such as that it does not have a easy to find spell check, so it is often overlooked; making it more simple to type out on Microsoft Word, then C&P to Blogger. I will never use it again.
Photoshop is difficult to get used to for some people who aren’t used to it or haven’t used it before, but once you get used to it, it is very valuable and can be used to do a multitude of things.
Open Photoshop.
File > New.

The drop down menu here can be used to choose default image sizes.

The boxes can be changed to adapt exactly to the height or width required.
For the DS case I have made the height and width the same to make it square.

Select File > Place…

The file window should open. Select the image you wish to place and either press enter or click place in the bottom right of the box.

The image should look like this. Click the tick in the upper right corner of the Photoshop screen to place the image.

Select the Move tool in the top of the tools bar.

Once you’ve selected the Move tool, using the small squares in the corners and on the sides of the image (remember to have the right layer selected) you can move and alter the image as you want.
To stop it looking like the image above though; distorted, you can hold down shift to keep the images proportions the same. You can also move the image around with this tool.

Use this to alter and place the image where you want, when you’re done just click the tick in the top right corner of the Photoshop screen.
