This is my finished front cover for my preliminary task. I took a picture of my friend, who is a popular person, I thought that because of this it would attract people to my magazine, because it makes it seem as if he supports it already. He is also smiling and friendly looking : )

A college band, who have quite a few dedicated followers is also advertised on the front, with a couple of pages dedicated to them, their followers, or people who enjoy their kind of music will appreciate this.

Also in college myself and msot of my peers have noticed the unfriendlyness of the dinner ladies and they have become a popular topic to speak about in college, which is why they are featured on the front cover of this magazine.

At the bottom in small text there are a few words explaining what else can be found in the magazine and what will be featured in almost every magazine to come.

The name of the magazine is the college name, which will clearly show who the audience is and what you will expect from it.

I tried to make my contents page have as many similar colours as possible to make it as relevant to the front cover as possible. I also copied the two extracts featured on the front in the contents so that the pages can be found easier. The words are large and easy to read so that absolutely anyone in the college can read it.

I added an editors note, but didn't know what to put so I put a load of gibberish, although it would probably say something like 'hope you enjoy this issue' etc.

the picture included is a different one to the front and it is next to the topic that it is about: dinner ladies. Because the article isn't the happiest of articles the dinner lady is pictured to be unhappy and grumpy and serving horrible looking food.
